Indira - the first-timer
When did you start cycling?
I first bought the bike in February but didn't know how to ride. I got lessons and started cycling from March onwards.
Why did you start cycling?
[I was] sick of buses, you don't get to see London when you're underground and the congestion chrage was in my head as I made the final decision. Riding on London roads can be daunting initially, the buses and taxis are scary, the Tower Hamlets Wheelers gave me additional support.
What do you love most about cycling?
You're not tied down to other people's agenda. The liberties are great. The fact that you are out in the air and exercising.
What do you hate most?
Getting on and off makes me sore. Stopping and starting and always having to build up momentum again.
