14-22 June 2008
[Last update: 26 May 2008]
Below are the events Tower Hamlets Wheelers will be running during this year's Bike Week. All of our events are free and everyone is invited. We particularly welcome those new to cycling and have some easy rides lined up during the week (and the rest of the summer) to help improve your riding and increase your fitness.

10.00am-4.00pm (approx finish time)
Medium RIDE: First-timers Longer Ride

Test yourself over a longer distance than our usual easy rides. The pace will still be easy but we will cover up to 50 miles with convenient drop-out points along the way if you would prefer to aim for a shorter distance. If you commute regularly you may be surprised how far you can ride. This ride is always popular so give it a go!

Easy RIDE: The Glamour Ride
Meet on top of the Green Bridge, Mile End Park E3

Who says cycling is all lycra, sweat and bad hair days? Not us! Dress according to your own definition of glamour, decorate either yourself or your bike or both. In previous years we've had Wonder Woman, toy dogs in baskets and Audrey Hepburn meets Skate Park. Or just bring a glamorous attitude! This year we'll also have the classy " Beatrix" bicycle sound system accompanying us playing suitably glamourous tunes. It's an easy fun ride, with a break for prize giving and a social at the end. Less than 10 miles.
Don't forget your lights.
21st Saturday
2.00am (yes, in the morning!)

Finally, all will ride up to Primrose Hill to watch the sunrise at 4.43am. Bring warm clothes as it'll get chilly.
