Below are the events to be held by Tower Hamlets Wheelers during this year's Bike Week.

The Great Beigel Challenge

Island Gardens to the Sundial Centre, Shipton Street.
The Beigel Race returns! A fun race between various modes of transport highlighting the need for integrated transport systems. Let us know if you want to enter, especially if you have a more unusual transport alternative. In the past we have had a horse & cart, the Mayor in his limo, rickshaws and disability mobility buses taking part as well as cyclists and public transport users.
Entry must be pre-booked.
(read about previous editions of the race in East London Cyclist: April 1997, March 1998, June 1999 and August 2000.)

Midsummer Madness Ride

Meet at Beigel Bake, Brick Lane.

Bridges Ride

Meet at Tower Bridge, south end.
Join Lambeth, Southwark, Westminster cyclists and hopefully many more in ride east across the bridges of central London. This initial fun ride will mark the start of a "bridges campaign" to improve the junctions at either end of most London bridges.

- 4.00pm

Family Cycling Fun Day

Victoria Park (Royal Gate East, Grove Road, near Royal Inn on the Park pub.)
End Bike Week by joining Tower Hamlets cyclists for a picnic lunch. There will be a Dr Bike stand so you can get your bike tuned, an obstacle course to test your bike handling skills, slow bicycle races and lots more. Later in the afternoon you can join in a ride down to Greenwich Park to meet up with Greenwich cyclists at their teatime cycling picnic.

Any questions, offers to help out etc. contact Owen (7515 9905).

Finally, don't worry, none of our events clash with any of the World Cup matches...(well apart from on the 22nd).
