Below is everything that needs doing to enable our events to run even better than last year.
If you can help out with anything please let us know - even the smallest amount of your time will be much appreciated!

14th Saturday 12.00pm-4.00pm
Family Cycling Fun Day
Victoria Park (Crown Gate East, Grove Road, off roundabout, opposite Crown pub) [LCG10: Zb40 map]
Event preparation:
  1. Rickshaws: Owen
  2. Cycling Clown: Gary
  3. Obstacle course, Mark Butland: Owen
  4. Security bike marking: Keith, Alix
  5. Bike & helmet decorating: Alix, Saul?
  6. Face painting? volunteer needed
  7. Ask if LBTH want to run a road safety stall: volunteer needed
  8. Petition(s) - subject, wording & production of forms: volunteers needed
  9. Are there park notices that can be used for publicity posters? volunteer needed
  10. Production of posters: Owen, volunteers needed
  11. Putting up of posters: Owen, volunteers needed

On the day:

  1. Setting up (gazebo, tables etc.) start time tba:

  2. Stall attendents and roaming amongst the crowds - Wheelers/LCC info distribution, tshirt sales, petition(s):
    at least x3 volunteers needed Colin, Alex B?, Tom?
  3. Slow bike races: x2 volunteers needed
  4. Bike & helmet decorating: Alix, Saul?
  5. Dr Bike: Keith, Owen, any others?
  6. Clearing up: Owen, Keith, volunteers needed

Eastway Cycling Day
Eastway Cycle Circuit, Quarter Mile Lane, London E10 [LCG5: Dc36 map]

Event preparation:

  1. Distribution of leaflets advertising the event - to bike shops, libraries, GP surgeries, schools and to bike and bikers themselves - please name the approximate area you would be able to cover and the bike shops, etc. within that area.

On the day:

  1. 'General volunteers' to help with miscellaneous setting-up/ clearing away on the day
  2. Driver and car to act as transport round the circuit (and to Casualty) in the unlikely event of any accidents

Cyclists' Breakfast
Narrow Street at Ropemakers Fields (near The Grapes pub) E14 [LCG10: Bc45 map]
Event preparation:
  1. Invite councillors and council transport officers: volunteer needed
  2. Event publicity leaflet production: volunteer needed
  3. Leaflet handouts on Narrow St and Cable St: volunteers needed
  4. Buy food: volunteers needed
  5. Sort out camping stove(s): Dave, anyone else?

On the day:

  1. Setup: Alex B, Owen, more volunteers needed
  2. Wheelers/LCC info distribution: Owen, Alex B, Alix, more volunteers?
