Monthly Meeting Minutes

August's went ok, lots of donations!

2. Events
- Sun 14 Sep, Spitalfields Green Fair

- Sun 21 Sep, Freewheel: Green Bridge -> Victoria Park hub + lead ride back.

- Mon 22 Sep, Car Free Day at St George's School - waiting to hear more from LBTH.

3. Hanbury St/Spelman St consulation
Installation of table at this junction as recommended from link 197 CRISP.
[*] David T to write some notes based on our discussion for submission by 12th Sept.
4. Cycling on Prescription project update
Project has begun, 6 cycle training sessions have taken place so far with Bikeworks with about 18 patients taking part. Led group rides have also started. Funding has provided bikes to be available for these rides.
Info packs going out including maps, LCC guide, flyer with Wheelers info.
Volunteers requested for lead group rides on Saturday - a couple of hours in the afternoon.
Topic revisited later in the evening: Rachel (project instigator) - gave an overview. Funding for 100 people to go through scheme.
All impressed and happy to hear of progress so far.

5. Aldgate Masterplan
David T gives overview of this with respect to how we can get involved with such projects at an early stage.
6. Councillor Liaison
Good contact made with some councillors recently from newsletter mailout and meeting at events e.g. Ann Jackson, 2 from Isle of Dogs, Clare Hawkins.
Suggestion of offering all councillors cycle training (based on Kingston's successful "Movers & Shakers" project).
[*] Rob & David T to mailout next newsletter. Will include specific letter to councillors who have responded to us.
7. LAP Steering Group Member
David T highlighted how anyone can become a member of the borough's LAP Steering Group and how useful it would be for us to have contacts in all of them.

8. Strategy Workshop Planning
1 November, 10.00-16.00
Structure, who to invite, location etc. need to be planned. Agreed to hold a planning meeting on Wed, 24 September 6.30pm.

9. Next Meeting on 8 October.
Meeting closed at 8.30pm and all headed off to Aneeta's book-signing.
