Monthly Meeting Minutes
Wednesday, 12 November 2008 7.30pm
Held at St Margaret's House, 21 Old Ford Road.

1. British Waterways Ranger
- Joseph outlined his newly created post, out on the canal 4 days a week, morning and evening rush hour. Remit to improve relations between all canal users and behaviour of anti-social .
- discussed potential art commission to promote considerate cycling.
- next Two Tings event this Friday 7.30-9am, Mile End lock.
2. Finances
Still moderately healthy.
3. Bike Buddy Scheme
A few people have been applying so issued training vouchers issued.
Discussions with Jagonari Centre about using up remaining funding.
4. Workshop
October's very, very quiet.
Next one on 29 November - will hold a bicycle bits swap shop. Also happens to coincide with Buy Nothing Day.

5. Events
Keith & Owen attended event at Mile End Ecology Centre on 1 Nov - unfortunately not worth it!
No other events planned for the near future.
6. Rides
Oranges & Lemons ride on 16 Nov, David T leading.
Another breakfast ride will be organised shortly.
Christmas Lights or some themed festive evening ride [*] Caroline to find out if anyone's up for organising.
7. Newsletter
Postponed as everyone busy so have missed London Cyclist mailout deadline. Will produce one for beginning of December.

8. Strategy Day
Sat, 22 November. Failed on the publicity front.

9. Cycle for Health Project
Ongoing. Rob reports those attending are benefiting. Deciding soon whether to carry on through the winter or not.
10. Funding Application
Rob going on council funding application training course! Gold star awarded.
Project ideas discussed and will discuss further on 22 Nov planning day.
11. Ride Leader Guidance
Dave A and Caroline have put together some guidelines for our rides outlining what we do and what they should expect.
12. AOB
- Aneeta proposes switching the regular meeting day to Tuesday to allow Keith to attend.
