East End Speed Histories by Bike - Celebration of East London Suffrage
This year marks the poignant centenaries of the end of the First World War and the passing of the Representation of the People Act so, to celebrate, Tower Hamlets Wheelers in association with East End Speed Histories have organised a very special bike tour which will look at the characters and events that formed the Suffrage movement in the East London.
East End Speed Histories are a group of local story tellers who have performed in many locations, such as Bishopsgate Institute, Shoreditch Town Hall, The Rich Mix etc. to critical acclaim and we're very privileged to be given this opportunity to see them perform on our behalf.
The ride will start at The Pavilion Cafe, Victoria Park at 1.00pm and is expected to finish at 3.00pm at the Womens' Hall exhibition at the Bancroft Library. The ride will be on public roads.
If it's raining the event may be cancelled.
Due to the nature of street story telling the ride is restricted to 20 places so please book a ticket via the link below. There is no need to print the ticket.

Rides information
Our rides are highlighted by "RIDE". You don't have to be a member to join in and we're also always looking for new ride ideas. Contact our Rides Co-ordinator for further information.
There is no need to register beforehand for a ride unless this is specifically stated, most rides are "turn up and go".
If you haven't ridden with us before please read our Ride Guidance Notes.
Please note that for train assisted rides we often cannot publish times until about 2 weeks beforehand because of the need to check engineering works. Also sometimes our ride leaders do have to change dates/times/routes at reasonably short notice. Generally this website will be up to date and also details will be sent out to our email groups, but if in doubt contact the ride leader or our rides co-ordinator to check arrangements.
