Evening ride up the River Lea

You just can't beat an evening summer ride along the local canals and
riverside :-) Seven of us took to the paths up the Lea Valley
yesterday evening, me and Steve being well out-numbered by the ladies
(who says cycling is male dominated?)
I'm happy to report we have adopted one Brompton riding Barnet LCC
member - for the second week running she has come from her workplace
in the City to our evening ride before heading back on the Met Line
to Harrow!
So we trundled north along the River Lea Navigation up as far as
Springfield Marina and then back down south following the River Lea
itself. Soooo pleasant.
And then it was to the gathering of the Wheelers Film Soc (the five
ladies being replaced by three gentleman and one lady) for the
preview showing of Belleville Rendezvous at the West India Quay UGC. www.bellevillerendezvous.com
I'm afraid I'm no film buff but with bikes and the Tour as themes it
easily got my approval - funny, bizarre and French is how I think
I'll describe it - thoroughly enjoyable.
