Easy Evening Ride
28 April 2004

Ignoring the likelihood of a shower or two, eight met up on the Green Bridge for our first evening ride of the year yesterday. Ride leader Steve was delayed with saddle trouble so Keith ably took over.

Off we went, down the canal to Limehouse Basin, east along the river then Wapping's ornamental canal ending up at St Katharine's Dock. A brief stop for shelter during a heavy shower and then it was back along the cobbles of Wapping High Street and to the canal via Limehouse Basin again. In the gloom we headed up to Victoria Park and finished off with a relaxing ride along he blossom lined paths. Then back down the canal, heading to the Morgan Arms for some well earned liquid refreshment. Ride time about 1 3/4 hours, not sure of the distance but that didn't matter, a good time was had by all.
