1. Hustings
The email from Helen was discussed regarding what was still needed to be sorted. Audio, either Sam from the Town Hall, or Rob have access to a sound system and would be able to provide. Rob also has access to hot water canisters. Terry was happy to commit if available when date set to chair the hustings, Alex will ask Hermoine if she would be happy to offer help. Owen offered the possibility of use of town hall, Christy to enquire with St Margarets about the use of the main hall once a date is set.
Action – to plan out further in April meeting.
2. Manifesto
Keith had been given a quote from Queen Mary University for 200 copies. Alex to check further quotes.
Plan for a launch event at Stepney City farm any Saturday apart from Easter. Potential for 7th April. LCC will lend the cargo bike. Good availability amongst Wheelers. Need further thought on an ask for people to do once they have the manifesto.
Press release to include QOL improvements, bad health statistics and air quality statistics.
Action – Alex to email City Farm to check availability for 7th. Alex to check quotes. Ale and Julie to work on press release before sending out to the group for final review.
3. Rides and Events
Hell of East – Cobble stone ride of TH on day of Paris-Roubaix 8th April with Town Hall finish. Projector and laptop required to screen the actual race.
Dunwich Dynamo – Transport to be booked with Southwark Cyclists.
Chiltern Cycleway – June/July departing Euston or Met Line to Chesham.
4. Workshop Saturday 17th March
Keith, Medhi, Bob, Rowena and possibly Rob able to attend.
5. AGM Date
2nd week Wednesday 11th July is loking the best date. Gives enough wiggle room before deadline date.
6. Cycle Parking on Estates
Pablo from L+Q (East Thames) talked about his bike that was stolen the day before from a ‘secure’ parking on estate. Cut through D-Lock and chain lock. Discussed need for any parking to sited within view of estate rather than hidden away in basement areas.
7. Consultations
Brick Lane Consultation out now
Canary Wharf Bridge also now out.
Action to form response and publicise on Facebook and Twitter.
8. AOB
Medhi asked if anyone had any waterproof panniers that he could borrow.
