Bethnal Green Liveable Streets
- A short reflection on how the Bethnal Green Liveable Streets consultation went was given by Cllr Tarik Khan followed by a Q&A.
- Within the St Peter’s ward, it is felt that they have done a good job of engaging residents & businesses with the consultation.
- The consultation was taken into the mosques to help reach all parts of the community.
Megan’s Research Survey
- Members who Megan has worked with should have received an email yesterday with a link to the online survey to help Megan wrap up her research for her PHD.
- The survey will let you save & come back to where you were so that you can complete it in more than one sitting.
- If anyone has any questions around the survey, please contact Megan
London Street Space
- There is currently 1376 suggestions on the Streetspace for Tower Hamlets Maps (https://talk.towerhamlets.gov.uk/streetspace/maps/your-streetspace-sugge...)
- ACTION – Everyone to share the link to the Streetspace with family & friends and for members to drop pins/make suggestions
- ACTION – This should be shared on THW website as well
Upcoming Liveable Streets Consultation
- Bow and Brick Lane are the next upcoming schemes for public consultation
- End of July is the initial plan for these to go out to public consultation.
Dr Bike/Workshop
- Keith has been in touch with Royal London Hospital around putting on a Dr Bike for NHS staff & key workers at the Royal London Hospital.
- Tentatively we are looking to reopen the workshop next month (July) as we are confident we can implement safe social distancing measures.
AOB
- Pallets cycle storage concept. Mark presented a low-cost cycle storage concept which could be done by just using pallets. Each storage block would hold two bicycles and would be constructed from seven pallets.
- ACTION – Mark to forward sketch of design to Julie for sharing with the wider group
